jgnat: When I first heard about this a few years I really thought it was just a rumour because it seemed too absurd even for the witnesses but when I looked into it I found it to be true. I asked my mother for the magazine and suprisingly she gave it to me. I still have the scans on my computer. I post them here for anyone that is interested. I just noticed that page 9 is missing. If anyone wants it I will scan it and post it here.

I agree with above statement. If a witness were to come to this site they aren't overwelmed with too much information and end up leaving. If they want more information they can for search for more sites. Great job.

Some JW parents don't deserve to be parents!!!

when mike and i went to the hosp on wed night after my nan had passed away, i tried to comfort my mum, she hardly wanted me to touch her.
i didnt even look at my dad for the first half n hour we were there.

Hi Es, I'm so sorry you're going through this with your parents. On top of losing your nan, to have this strained relationship with your parents. I agree with Flipper. You seem to be a very loving person. Don't allow your parents behaviour to influence yours. Even though your mother's behaviour is inexcusible, maybe it's understandable. She just lost her mother who isn't a witness, her daughter isn't a witness. Maybe it's her way of coping by detaching herself emotionally. Take care.

Harleau: the president of the Jehovah Witness Org, Joseph Rutherford was anti-semitic. I believe that he speaks ill of Jews in his book Enemies (which I have-but can't find at the moment-but I will look for it if you want) You say that we (on JWD) believe everything that we read which isn't true for many of us. You speak of reading the bible but my understanding is that most witnesses do little reading of the bible but instead read Watchtower literature. Didn't Russell say that if an individual read only the bible he would be lost; that reading Watchtower literature was equal to reading the bible. Maybe someone else has Russell's actual quotation.

MY DAD MIGHT DIE DUE TO THE 'NO BLOOD' DOCTRINE
by Mary ini don't have much time to post as i'm headed back to the hospital, but my father collapsed this morning and had to be rushed to the hospital.
in a nutshell: he needs a blood transfusion as his hemoglobin is dropping (bleeding internally), but thanks to this fucking cult, that's not an option...........he'll accept the fractions but those bastards from the blood liaison committee have already shown up to ensure he doesn't cave............... for those of you who still believe, i'm asking you to say a prayer for my dad........and if anyone from crooklyn is reading this: you better hope my father doesn't die due to your fucked up rules, .

Mary, I'm so happy for you that your father pulled through. I would not in the least feel guilty for saving a life and as for your parents, I would think they would both be off the hook as neither knew what was going on during this stressful time. What I don't understand is why the hospital allows non-family members in the patients room. I will continue to pray for your family. Take care and have good night sleep.

If there was a cure for 'narrow minded ignorance'................
by ThomasCovenant inwould you force people (those that you consider narrow minded and ignorant of course) to take that cure?.
if not, then what would be the point of the cure or even wishing for such a cure?
those 'afflicted' would be blissfully unaware of their condition and would never take it voluntarily.. thanks.
